Philips X-Treme Power H7. 80% more light?
Philips X-Treme Power H7. 80% more light?
I've currently got the Philips Blue Vision H7 bulbs (+ 30% more light) in my car which make a big difference over the standard Polo H7 lights I had before. But I was going around http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk today and noticed that a new bulb from Philips is out, claiming a staggering 80% more light!
Any of you guys heard of this aswell or got it for their polo?
Heres the link (inc write up from autoexpress)

i have just ordered some bluevision from them, but what is confusing me is that on the introduction on the 9N forum it states that mainbeam is H1, and dipped H7, but on these pages it says the 2003 Polo is main beam H7, dipped beam H7?
which is right, before i joiun the backorder list for some xtreme powers for my main beam

bulb replacement
hi
just the post i am looking for!
i have also bought the philips blue bulbs from a seller on e bay.( cost me £37 inc postage for full beam ,dipped beam and four sidelight bulbs) they are the bluevision bulbs.however i thought it would be a 5 min job to fit them.i have a mk6 2004 1.2 twist in blue metallic .i have seen another polo the same as mine with these fitted and it looks great.i see the rubber caps to remove on the rear of the lights but i cant see to remove the bulbs etc (all 3 bulbs to change)
can anyone provide a step by step photo guide to their fitment?
i dont want to appear useless but i dont want to damage anything.thanks!
also h7s and h1s are correct for the round light mk6 polos
i have also fitted a blue led interior light bulb which looks very smart!

it is fiddly, but if you have a 1.2 its a lot easier than with the bigger engines!

philips bulbs
thanks very much for the info.trying to do this when you cant see into the lighting enclosure is very difficult.however with the pics and instruction it was done in 30 min.
i was still unsure if the clips had engaged properly but i used a small mirror to place behind the opening to check everything was ok.
i have just joined the forum and have already saved a few quid on fitting these bulbs.
thanks again!
ps anyone fitted a nice ilumminated vw leather gear knob?

this should remove the orange glow from the reflectors.and replace it with a blueish glow.
