polo 9n fk highsports & anti roll bars

Post by stig247 »

ive just have my car slammed using fk coilovers but still using the standard anti roll bar links even though they do not fit into the correct hole on the suspension leg and its causing the driveshaft to hit the anti roll bar does anyone know if i can buy some sort of shortened anti roll bar links from somewhere

cheers :)

Didn't your FK's come with some replacement drop links. I wonder if mine do the same, I need to look.

I've just got some of these and wondered what they were - they're called thrust links in the pack - so they replace the standard drop links because of the lower height? cool.

anyone else fitted FK's and wants to describe the process?

Cheers

I image they have some purpose. Perhpas just in the packet to renew the old ones because they dont visually look much shorter.

In the box exactly like you say david, they're labelled 'trust links' & mine also have some blue plastic caps (I couldn't figure these out - so fitted without the caps).

They're not shorter, but iirc, the end links were more stiffer than the standard ones. Some people still complain of the ARB fouling the driveshaft with these on though - I've had no problems though, and I've got my car down as low as it can possibly go.

Apparently common on MK4 Golf chassis based cars too when you go lower than 40mm.

Try the aftermarket adjustable end links for MK4 Golfs if using these don't help
