What is the coolant capacity of a 1.6 Polo? Or any Polo!

Just curious like!

Haynes reckons 5.6l, but I could only get about 4l in mine... so what is the capacity supposed to be? Have I got an air lock?

i don't know what the capacity is but if you run the car at idle and squeeze all the coolant pipes with the expansion cap off, this should help get rid of any air locks.

Yeah I did that, also left the heater on max too...

I suspect the other litre or so is in the radiator and the heater matrix, I'm not to worried really!
