TowBar.......

Post by chrisash32 »

Hmmm, finally gave in this evening and now have a tow bar being fitted to the Polo next Monday.

I have gone for a removable one so it doesn't spoil its looks tooooo much!
The problem is the guys said they will have to cut my bumper (EEEEEEEPP).

That's the bit i am really worried about!!

Has anyone else had one fitted??

If so how does it look?

Thanks

Chris

Ive got a factory fitted one on mine made by Oris the rear vallance has a removable panel secured by two small pins. I would think you can get a rear vallance from a dealer for a towbar equipped car. Ill get a pic if i can..

Thanks for that,

I called two VW dealers who said they dont do tow bars for the polo!!

I have got a local company fitting one on monday for me,
They said that they think it will be supplied with a cover like yours.

I hope it is! lol

Where do you plug your electrics in?

Thanks

The electrics are on a flip down plate next to the bar that hides behind the bumper, all in all its quite a neat system. Mind you I've never actually used the towbar and it looks like its never been used..

They probably couldn't be bothered to look but they do a detachable towbar as a retailer supplied accessory

Part No: 6Q0 092 155 A - £203.00 inc vat.. (price list 5.2.07) (Electrics are extra though):?
