anyone know if this can be done manually.

M yCorrado has a twist knob that angles them, i cant find anything on the polo to lift them

(and yes, before anyone says, i know there electric, that has nuthin to do with it tho :lol: )

You sure they're electric? Mine aren't. And, as a result, there's no rotary knob thingie to point them downwards from the inside.

The only way to adjust them is by hand, using a long screwdriver and actually turning them down a bit.

Here's how;

Open bonnet, stand in front of car, kneel down and look at the headlights. Stick in screwdriver horizontally in some holes; you should be able to make out where they are from the position you're in. Adjust until satisfied.

There are two for each light IIRC.

Yeah bud, they have electric adjustment. they point down already tho, and even farther when you adjust them!!! My mates are quite low too. is t a polo thing?

What i meant was, my corrado has a *ahem* large odd shaped... knob... that twists to turn them up and down, fixed to the back of the headlight, next to the bulb holders. on them tho, the headlights can actually be bought seperatly (trim, glass, reflector... etc..) i was wonderiing if the polo was meant to have the same syle of adjustmanet, as i couldnt see anyth ing obvious.

With your tip tho, ill have another look later and see if we can get headlights that actually shine more than 5 Metres up the road!

Having re-read your initial post, I can see how mine comes off totally moronic. Seriously, I need to learn how to read. Anyway. Perhaps the lights can indeed be adjusted manually too, after refitting them I'm sure there's a need for that so it must be possible.

im gonna have another look, i mean, we need them adjusted for the annual inspection anyway, so there definatly is a way of doing it, i just didnt know how lol.

If the car is lowered then the headlights wont shine as far....

perhaps get your VW dealer to look at it?

yeah karl, know what you mean, but it is a 4x4 til the newyear. but the headlights point seriously far down. the VAG $tealer are useless.

Ill be taking it to the local specialist that does my raddo then
