ello all a new mk1 polo toy

Post by bentert »

ello all, just picked up a mk1 polo the other day my first polo, although have had lots of mk1 golfs, mk2 golfs, sciroccos and campers and beetles and what have ya.
At the moment i have my caddy Gti, MK1 golf cabrio and a 72 beetle but a got a good deal on a taxed and motd polo mk1....
BUT
i want to get somethings sorted on her.
What size wheels will fit I was thinking of BBs 15s but dont know if they will fit?
Oh and I also want a roof rack for her- any reccomendations???

You dont see many Mk1s on 15s because they tend to look very big in the arches, but Im sort of planning on putting some 15s on mine.

Tyre choice is key, and I dont think anything wider than a 7" wheel will go.

Whatever you decide on... pics please!

ive seen plenty of european mk1s running 15s and even 16s, but for looks and driveability i would say 13s or 14s are ideal. ive got 14" pirelli Pslots with 175/50/14 pirelli P6000 tyres for my mk1.
