Whats your exhaust? Mine's standard so it doesn't show (I know that doesn't count).

But I'm wanting to change it at some point, dont know what route to take though.

mines standard and is hidden, cleans up the rear end a lot which I like. If you're going to have it showing it has to be using the 9N3 GTi bumper spoiler, looks really well, very tidy.

i was thinking of buying a new exhaust as well to try and get the same sort of GTI look..Your right the double exhaust on the 9N3 does look good with its rear spoiler..But will the 9N3 GTI bodykit fit the the 9N?

No you don't it replaces the one that's on your bumper currently and comes in the normal black plastic not primered. :)

This might sound stupid but what does a backbox in the exhaust sys do?

And will changing just the backbox have any disadvantages or is it an advantage apart from 'looks'.

I wanted to get a similar looking one, to the one that Chris SDI has got but not sure which make/model I should go for..Ive got 9n 1.2..Any ideas?

seen the 'scorpion le mans' one, liked that..but someone on the forum said that its best to get a custom one made..

Cheers.

you wouldnt need to get them painted, sure they come in black on the 9N3. the black helps break up all the colour too I think.

Any one got any ideas about the back boxes:

1. Is it better to get a custom made one
OR
2. buy From a compony like Scorpion?[/quote]

quad 5" jap style
Wow that will look different on a polo 9N! I think Dantheman has it on his GTI..I'll Probably just go for the twin tail pipe look..

Is there any difference in quality between the manufactured ones and the custom made ones?

because i went today to ask for prices and the Custom built twin s/s backbox was 140pnds fitted but the Scorpion version of the same one was quoted at 240pnds fitted. (fitting was only 40 pnds, 1 hrs labour). So is there a difference in quality?

when I asked the salesman he said str8 away that I was just paying for the label..Is that true?

Well the custom made ones have a longer guarantee... so depends how you look at it.
