So, next I went to the Ross-Tech (VAG-COM) Wiki site (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Cat ... ault_Codes to find out what these mean.
I reset the fault code 16786 to do with EGR and the light has gone out. Of course the cause of the problem probably has not gone away. Now what ? Take it to a VW Stealership and let them simply reset the faults and rip me off for 100's ?
Also, the other fault codes (01271, 01597, 01284, 01275 & 01610) do not seem to be listed and there are no dash lights telling there are faults. Now what ? Anyone any ideas what these mean (apart from the obvious words) ?
