Fixed my old brake light switch

Post by 1 GTI »

I was changing my brake light switch this afternoon and the new one they gave me wouldn't work for some reason. So I pulled out the pin that was half way in the switch of my original and it works as it should now. Well impressed with myself also saved myself £8, lol

You know you could have added this info to your first post rather than make a whole new topic..? Just a suggestion

Glad you got it fixed - following a car with no brake lights (or ones that have them stuck on!) is a nervy experience :?

Cheers

bet you didnt know this tho you only get 1 chance to fit a brake light switch. ive done it and was getting stressed out that a brand new switch wouldnt work, after you the pin out as far as it goes and pluged it in as soon as you turn and click it in to place thats it chance gone if it anit right

went through 3 switches lol how stupid was i that day.
