On ma way home from work i was racing my mates Type R. When we both approached the roundabout there was a horrible grating kinda noise but both cars seemed totally fine after.
Once i got home i turned off ma engine and push my clutch pedal in and there is a horrible grated/springy noise??? Is this somethin to worry about, cos ma car is runnin fine and so is the gear changes etc??
Even with a remap it shouldnt affect the gear box warranty, because the remap hasnt got anything to do with the gearbox etc, vw will do anything to blame a remap on anything that fails on the car.

Is someone dreaming here! As Wouter has implied, a gearbox is only made to withstand the engine loadings that it would see in normal service, but there again what an interesting concept - so you could transmit 300HP and huge lumps of torque through a Polo gearbox and it would be okay? Try finding out a little bit about engineering in general Ray_chan.
