Post by Kelvniii »

Hi guys
i'm looking a VAG-com cable, but i'm not sure which one i should look for?

i heard someone said there are few different cables on the market, like version 5, 8 or something COM thing... i have no clue what all the things are... could someone pls give me a hand on it? and also just wondering does the cable same as Golf MK4??

by the way I'm driving a 06' Polo GTI 1.8T

This one is the best on ebay so far

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAG-COM-OBD2-DIAG ... dZViewItem

would have ended now but relisted, i took it from my earlier post about this (look down the page about cable for diagnosis :D )

It should work for nearly all VW's after 1999 or something

Cable should work on any (semi-recent to recent) VAG vehicle.

You heard something about it but you don't have a clue indeed :p. You need to install the right COM drivers for it - as the cable with vagcom will only work with COM port 1, 2, 3 or 4.

You need to set up a few software settings before you can actually start using VAGCOM.

Once you get there, I can explain to you if you want on MSN or something
