Are there any signs if your cambelt is on the way out?

A ticking noise from under the bonnet I think

Cost me about Â£352.50 I think it was which was labour.

Then the water pump was Â£40.30 + VAT and I think the Repair Kit on the bill is part of it. That was Â£95 + VAT so it's not cheap at all

Just got it all changed because the mileage was at 56534, better to be safe than sorry

Is there no VW specialists near you? The one i get to do my work were about 50% cheaper than VW and they're enthusiast's not just doing it for a job.

HI! IMO YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF GETTING CAMBELT, ETC CHANGED. I GOT MINE DONE AS SOON AS I GOT THE CAR HOME. IT HAD ONLY DONE JUST OVER 20,000 LAST YEAR. JUST NOT WORTH THE RISK. I'VE HAD IT HAPPEN TO ME IN MY MK 4 POLO! VERY EMBARRESSING,

, ESPECIALLY WHEN MY OTHER HALF KEPT TELLING EM TO GET IT DONE. VW RECOMMEND EVERY 60,000 MILES( I THINK), OR 4 YEARS.
SORRRY TO HEAR YOUR NOISE IS BACK. MY LITTLE GEM IS STAYING HOME FOR INTERS AS ME OTHER HALF IS TAKING HIS GOLF!!!!
