Quick Question- Standard Airbox air flow to Intake kit

Post by dipsyd »

Hi everyone, New on uk-polos, normal user of Club polo. had a k&n kit lying around for my mk5 1.0 E, decided to fit it today.
I remember looking at a post on the forum with a gun metal polo who had fitted the induction kit with the engine cover on.
I did this today, I managed to cut away the inside of the orginal air box and fit the K&N underneath the orginal engine cover,
My worry at the moment is that I didnt cut a hole in the engine cover itself, I did connect the standard flow pipe back so it should be getting air, but could be restrictive.
Will this be ok?

Thanks in Advance

Holding a group buy for Road angel 2 - Speed camera detection on club polo under sale section. take a look!!

Hey,

I reckon you'll be alright, as long as you keep the airflow on the filter.

Welcome to the forum, by the way :)

Yea, the airflow is passes through the OE bits, under the cover. I just had a feeling it may have been the wrong thing to do!!
