Pikey exhaust

first off i had my cat blow out ( the honeycomb broke up and blocked my exhaust)
so being the cheap arse i am i decided to rip off the exhust system and "unblock" with the aid of a broom handle and a hammer.

now i have fixed that it seems like the middle silencer is on the verge of breaking up. as the exhaust is blowing and i have checked all the joints and used holt firegum to seal them.,

on a cold day you can see condensation round the edges of the silencer where the metal is rolled onto the main body.

can anyone see any problem with welding a straight pipe in place of the silencer.

will i get any power loss/gains by doing this. will my exhaust sound more manly or just like a fart cannon.
