Resin / Hardner / CSMat

Post by sorted »

Hello

Looking for a bit of adive as I know some people on here have used fiber glass.

I have some : Resin/Hardner/450g/m Chopped Strand Mat Fiberglass

I want to mix up the resin with the hardner: what is the corrent mixing ratio for a good solid compond ?

One it is mixed up - would i be best to "paint like" the compond onto the item, then put the CSM on this , then paint the compond over the CSM in place again to give it a stong effect?

Just looking for some general advice, for a small sub encloser and a bumper repair if it works out well!

Mix ratio is guess work, is it the paste type hardner or the liquid catalyst? Paste is better. If its liquid you only need a couple drops to a couple hundred ml's of resin. If ts the paste type, 1cm to every 100ml's will be good.

Please dont repair your bumper wth fibreglass, it never sticks well to plastic and will seperate after a short period of time.
