Hello from a 9n neebie with som questions!

Post by rs_tdi »

Hi!

You have a very nice forum here! Many very good looking cars!

I have just bought a Polo 9n from Germany. It's on its way to Norway now. Its a 2004 black 3-door Highline 1,9 TDi 131 hp with 6 gear! Looking forward to get it.

My questions:
Brakes:
What size are the original brakes on this car? Is it the 288mm version on my car?
Can i do the Audi TT 312mm upgrade on my car?
Will the 16" Barclona wheels fit over the TT brakes?

Has anyone here fitted 17" BBS CH wheels? Picturers?

Please help! :)

welcome! :D

If the car is the 130bhp version then it should have the 288mm brakes as standard. The TT brake upgrade is very easy and all you will need is discs, pads, calipers and carriers. Brake lines do not need to be changed!

Not sure on the Barcelona alloys, my 16" ibiza sport wheels will go over the TTs but my 16" RXII will not :? , I guess with the right offset it would be possible!

As for the 17s, then they will go as long as the PCD is 5x100 anf the offset is correct 35-45 usually. You'd have to run 205/40/17 tyres i think!

hope that answers some of your questions, get some pictures up when you get the car!
