Do mark 4 Golf brakes fit onto a new polo GTI Turbo?

I think the Golf GTI brakes do, as I've seen them done on a GTI Polo on edition38...

What size Brakes did the mk4 come out with over there? Im pretty sure in australia the mk4 came out with 288mm which is the same size as the polo gti. I am about to upgrade to Audi TT 312mm discs with TT/S3 caliper carriers and our mk4 Golf GTI calipers (or TT ones if i can find them for a decent price over here). We cannot use polo calipers because from what i have read the caliper and carrier are one unit on the polo.

you can fit 312mm brakes to a polo with the standard 16" alloys but any bigger and your going to have to get bigger wheels
