If you know which end connectors you want and what length...just call rally design...they can sort them out for you..

Think the ones for an old ford cost me about £8 each custom made...

I hear Goodridge are normally the best bet for the braided hoses. Quite fancy some myself!

it'd be goodridge really...but black diamond also do braided hoses too.

they only provide a 4 line kit though...the GTI has 6 lines in total. the extra two are located on your rear axle and are half hard lines and half rubber (steel piping with rubber hosing)...

you can't buy those two hoses in any set...they'd have to be custom jobbies and i've had a qoute from Pertek the hose specialists and they wanted £130 for a pair!!

you have two- one each side for the front.
you have two coming from the axle to the car itself.

then the two i spoke of above...

I use Goodridge and you can get the kit through GSF with discount!

I have goodridge front braided hoses on my GTI 8)

Another note, see when fitting then to the caliper - a copper washer has to be put in to stop them leaking - if i take the hose off, where will i get a replacement washer ?

Have you got part numbers for the kits you bought for front and back please Phil? I've got about 4 or 5 different part numbers and would like to narrow this down to the correct ones.

Hope you kept your delivery notes / invoices!!

They orginally have rubber hoses that expand under pressure(when the pedal is pushed) The braided hoses minimises the expansion under pressure

Well it should give a firmer and more direct brake feel at least.
