Air filters. suggestions????
at the moment i have k&n air filter sat on top of my carb just as a replacement for the air box.
apparently these dont do anything and your betta off leaving the standard air box on but i want a grunt noise.
im tempted to just drill the air box but wanted to know if anyone had any better ideas
cheers.
This questions come up soooo many times! Basically the difference is just to get rid of the restriction from the standard box allowing better air flow. With the K&N sitting on the carb your not really using it efficiently as hot air from the engine is also entering. either put a heat shield between them or use pipes from the carb to the left side of the engine and put the filter on the end of the pipe.
Induction kits only allow a slight extra air into the carb. Benefits are more economical if any (unnoticeable usually). use it in conjunction with other engine mods to make full use of the kit.

air intake
this is the problem i have tried putting the k&n on the end of sum pipe and it did sound much betta but seemed to use much more petrol so i put it back where it was. but i dont know what to do really i have only just started driving so i dont really want to start putting loads of mods on the engine. but then what does a drilled air box do
cheers
