Polo Speedo/Dash

my Handbrake bulb has gone on the back of my dash, I was wondering if i take the speedo out, i know there is a back plate on it, can this be removed and I could install a new bulb?

Also is it likely to forget how much Mileage the car has done?

You should just have to remove the clocks, the bulbs are left uncovered so yes, you can just install a new bulb. As for the mileage, it won't forget it, it'll just reset the clock. Hope that helps!
