Max's Progress Thread - New Photos pg. 10

Post by MaxZ »

As some of you may have known already, bought a GTi this summer, and it's been giving me a stupid amount of grief. I've finally been getting happy with it so decided to post some pictures of the work done on it.
This is the car that gave way for the GTi...

Image

When I picked the car up..

Image

Then came a very long roughly 3 months period, when the car pretty much sat in the garage having all of the following work done to it..

New engine put in
New Cambelt & Waterpump
New Air-con Compressor
Air-con Regas
Service

Then the BMC came!

Image

Then managed to do black pillars with Sooty's help

Image

Then came a long list of small things been done. The red piping around the grill got changed, as well as pressed UK plates

Image

TT Pedals
Image
Kamei Door Sills
Image
Monkey
Image
New Door Handles
Image
Aero Wipers
Image

Also got a VW black tax disc holder, and Enfig S2000 Aerial

Image

Then came some cabling

Image

With this..

Image

And this..

Image

Then came a 900 mile journey to Aberdeen.. Car looking like this :) Someone say wide?

Image

Then these came home and got a real clean

Image

Then look at the stance!

Image

And then they came off for a while to have these on..

It looks great :D

I still love these GTI's. I'd still have one despite their foibles.

A UK-P sticker wouldn't go a miss though, to balance out the "other" one :P

lovely mate, best choice of wheels imo as well...such a good stance with the RM's, have fun polishing them when it gets to summer, nothing like the reflection off a well polished lip

It's on coilies, my guess would be about a 50 drop or so. Doesn't scrub until you hit serious potholes/uneven roads at serious speeds. Would say pretty much perfect height, as gets over speed bumps so easily too!
