can anyone tell me the type of stereo fitted as im probably being inept and cannot find it anywhere in my manuals, cheers

Out the factory, it would probably be a Beta or a Gamma - it says on tape flap.

Take picture and post it up here if you're still stuck

And your car is a Mk6 :D
