the dileimma with my polo...
Well heres the dilema. I love my car to bits. Ive put a lot of work into it, a lot of time and a lot of money. But now ive braught it to uni im kind of getting a bit frustrated with it; theres speedbumps EVERYWHERE, i cant have a full car, its embarssesing when it creaks and groans with a couple people in, and plus altho it was respetced at home i think the majority of people at uni will look at it and be like "hmph, boy racer."
but then getting a new car seems stupid when i really only use it once a week to go to asda, and buying and selling while im at uni on a tight loan is a real hasstle.
wot u guys reckon?

I've changed cars twice while at uni (again, using student loans / tight budget). It's a real hassle if your new car goes wrong.
I'd recommend sticking with what you've got. If you're worried about people thinking 'boyracer' then put some standard parts back on. Standard lights & clear repeaters and maybe a standard grille would make it stand out a little less.

dont sell it. orrr. iff you sell any of your bumpers if you turn it back to stock,,, giv us a shout
lool.
are you sure people are looking at you for boy racer perspective and not because they like your car. if your car is modified by lowering, clear lights etc etc, people look to see if your a "bad-boy"lol. cus there the most common mods to make your car look nicer.
if you fill your car up with people all the time, it cant be a bad thing otherwise no one would get in it mate
i think your worrying too much

I'd see that and say 'a modder' instead of 'boyracer' or 'chav' cos there's a nig difference in the stereotypes. your car doesn't look like the typical boyracer cars although some may say any modded car is. Its not worth the hassle selling and buying when your at uni, especially if you only use it once a week.

Why do you care what others think????
I like my car... and im not ashamed of it. A few of my good mates .. thought i was a right looser getting my personalized number plate... but it was a 21st birthday present and i fu"""""" love it.
So i think you should think about what you want, sell it and get a KA if that makes you happy??? LOL... or keep your nice looking car and 'stand up tall.'

dont sell it. when i was at college i saw loads of modified cars, mine to, yes so people look at you, doesnt mean theyre thinking bad things tho. i was at college for 2 years with my polo modified and i never had any hassle, had a couple of comments nice ones and even some people asking me where i got the lowering done and i never had problems. the only problem i had was witht he speed bump at the beginning of the car park. if i went any faster then about 5 mph the back box scrapped but it didnt bother me. keep it and dont worry wat people say.
