Hydraulic bonnet lifter

Post by gti-joe »

Does anyone know if you can or has fitted a Hydraulic bonnet lifter to there 9n3 Polo. I know they were fitted standard to the 9n Polo just wondered if the mounting points were retained on the 9n3.

If so do you have the part number.

They surely need the hydraulic lifter - so much better than having to use the bonnet stay....

Someone must know ???

Yeah you can retro fit it, but you'll need to weld on the bottom bracket for it on the passenger side inner wing. . . . .

No hydraulic bonnet lifter ?!?! surely the Polo is getting more and more like the Fabia, incidentaly, check out BRISKODA as none of the original Fabias had a hydraulic bonnet lifter (can't say if the new one has though), so you will see what these guys were doing to sort this out. Search under "bonnet lifter" - I think to get what you need to know. (no bonnet lifter, next there will be leaking rear doors, final proof that VW has started to let Skoda built these cars - ahhhhhh!!!)
