Post by brianpologti »

As titles says , but is this right, only noticed a couple of weeks ago when I was finishing of fitting my gearbox, the fan runs all normal when driving but when I stop and turn off it runs on, for about tens mins, I am sure it never did before. strange any help will be great.

If the engine gets hot, the fan keeps running till its sufficiently cooled. You may have a temp sender on the death path or something not right in the cooling system somewhere along the line.

Its totaly normal for the fan to stay running after the engine is off....

Theoretically it should stop if you try and start the engine...

For a period of a couple of weeks last year my fan came on after most journeys, even though I had only heard it once or twice, and now it's not been on since then

I'd say its normal for it to come on. But at the moment its pretty cold outside and I only notice the fan comming on when I've been driving the car hard, or when its hot weather.

I'd keep an eye on your temp guage.

Completely normal, but strange for this time year being cooler, unless you have really been booting it for extended periods of time.
