Once upon a time... UPDATED

Post by bouzel »

Well since im always on here asking about questions for my car i thought i'd give you the story since ive owned it considering its my first car

Image
the car back in march when i first bought it with 43,000 miles and £2000 less in my bank balance(which isns't very big by the way)

Image

Image
then i started trying to smooth my own bumpers

Image

Image

Image

Image
then i got my In pro headlights all the way from germany

Image
bumpers still not finished

Image

Image
then after finding out that method wouldn't work i had to dig out :(

Image
than got my custom backbox

Image

Image
Then got my TSW Ascari high powered silver "apparently" only came out last friday

Image

Image
After a nice wash

and that is the life story of my polo it is booked in this friday for the smoothing off the bumpers so that will finally be done, next i'l probably look at gettin it lowered and tints and thats enough probably

any comments "constructive critism" or question welcome
many thanks
Anis

Props for trying to smooth the bumper yoursefl!! not an easy task, should look great when its done.

Definately in need of lowerage tho!

Not really a fan of the alloys but thats just my oppinion.

I like the de-rear wiper, nice work 8)

Fair enough to be honest even i hated the alloys at the begining but now there really growing on me, only cost me £350 including all new nuts tyres, balancing and locking key and fitting, next is to get it lowered i been looking at coilovers and i can't really decide not looking to spend a large amount of money as to much has been spent on it already it wasn't up to scratch mechanical wise :( but you learn and know what to look out for next time buying a car but all in all i think it's a great car very nippy for a 1litre and not trying to brag but a lot better than a lot of the other cars out there.... 106's Saxo's Corsa's Nova's
Thanks

Yer same hopefully my car will be finished by the summer 8) 8) i noticed you got tints on your windows, i can't tell whether you have anything on the front?
a lot of people have them around here and the general feeling i get is that if your not doing anything stupid and being really cocky with the police they won't really say anything about your tints

yeh I have a medium grade on the back 5 windows, and nothing on the front.

There is no way of tinting the front windows without them being illegal, for they come pre-tinted from the factory.

However a light grade on all windows does look really good, (and is something you can quite easily get away with).

if I had the chance again I'd probably go with that, it can look a little bit like a van at times like mine is now

hmm it's between illegal and legal plus ive only got 6 points on my licence so i don't really want to play with them, i might just leave the tints for now will defo need some lowerage as my car looks like it's on stilts also i was looking at getting central locking with an alarm , how much did your tints cost you

Very nice, how much did it cost?

It may not be terribly original, but it looks bloody good.

You gonna get the rub strips done as well?
