Muchos help needed with leaky, broken car!

Post by bost »

Hi guys, i'm new here, but hopefully you can give me some ideas where to start with this car I've got.
Problem 1) :( The windscreen wipers won't stop till you turn off the engine. Do I just need a new wiper motor, or is the relays etc. somewhere before it?
Problem 2) :x Car is very wet, think the water is coming somewher round the out side of the windscreen, any one know the best stuff to fill it with?
Problem 3) Rear windscreen heater doesn't work. No ideas what to do about this one!!!

If you can help with any of the above, go for it give me your ideas

Cheers

The car being wet can happen if the drain plugs under the windscreen become blocked with leaves etc. Check that first - it's fairly obvious and easy to clear, just pour some water on the screen and follow it into it's drain, if it's blocked then it can build up and come in through the bulkhead.

for the rear windscreen, check it's getting supplied with a voltage (multimeter). If it is then it's probably a broken wire on the screen (you can get repair solder for it). If it's not getting any voltage then have a look at the fuse and switch, and it this fails then I'd give up!

sounds like the windscreen wiper stalk might be bust on the steering column......
