6n aftermarket backbox fit a 6n2?

Hi all

as above really will a 6n aftermarket backbox fit a 6n2?

looks the same shape mounting brackets just wondering whether it will mate up with the pipe that connects to it??? any ideas if its the same diameter?

I currently have a scorpion backbox but it is damaged (hole in it and the baffles have gone etc)

You could get it to fit, even if it were the wrong size diameter, you could still get a size up/down connector pipe, and connect them. (not the perfect solution but it does work)

If its got the same mounting brackets I cant see it being that much of a problem etiher.

Are you not able to measure both of them?

well i've been studying the pics of both of them and the pipes are ver similiar, the 6n2 is more curved but the mounting brackets are the same position.

desperately need a new exhaust you see after i destroyed it on a speedbump when the car was lowered lol

My powerflow was orignally made for the 6n, and i think the brackets were slightly diferent.....easily recified though

I had my pipes measured on my GTI yesterday as i am looking to replace the back box, it was approx 49-50mm.

So for a snug fitting back box i would need to find one with the pipe approx 50mm.
