jus outta curiousity m8, is ur Passenger side or Drivers side carpet wet?, if it is then it looks like ur heater matrix has gone. If not then look under your car for water leaks, could be your Radiator, or if u have got it, your AC.

that failing, could it be your head gasket? im not sure if that has summut to do with water or oil, i always forget. Anyways a quick check is jus to open you oil cap and see if theres any white reidue there. But it could have nothing to do with water like i said i cant remember.

Hope this info helps m8

PS

if it happens to be a leak on the heating matrix/ Radiator, before u go all panic stations lol go buy some RadWeld and put it in the Water tank and leave your car runing for 15 minutes or so, it fixed mine :)

You'll get the coolant from a stealer or possibly an independant vw garage. Have a good look over the engine/ hoses for any leaks and look around the water pump for any signs of leakage too, but at that mileage it could be the cylinder head gasket.

You can get it from places like GSF or eurocarparts too.

Are you sure you want to use rad-weld? I'd only use it as a get-me-home. It's not a fix.

just use a prestone coolant
get it from motorworld big yellow tub
it mixes with any type of coolant for any car

This has happened to me and it was my radiator. Just go to a garage and ask them to pressure check the system.
