MKVI leaky boot.

Hi there,

my wife's got a mkvi polo, and when we first got it the rear windscreen wiper fluid was leaking into the boot. i fixed this by firmly reattaching the pipe.

today she called and told me her boot was flooded again and that it was so bad her back seats were wet! It doesn't sound to me as if its the same problem, so has anyone had this problem and if so what's most likely to be the cause? i'm guessing maybe one of the seals around the rear light clusters?

It may be the boot seal. I know that when I wash my car there can sometimes be is a lot of water hanging around the seal but mine doesn't let it through.

Maybe in your case the seal has given up or cracked or something, hence letting water in
