Post by peterbuk »

Hi, anyone know where i can get an intake tube of some sort to put a k&n cone onto and mount it off the throttle body?as it doesnt mount too well on the throttle body, clamps keep tightening and pushing the kit up, thanks

eBay offer all sorts of pipes, depending on what size you want, and what shape (90% etc..). check the 'car parts and accessories' bit and try words like "90 pipe" and "intake pipe"

search for 'cold air feed' thats a really good pipe. Ive got it on mine. Its expensive, but very durable indeed!

I already have a cold air feed, but can that be used to actually mount the filter away from the throttle body?i was looking at different metal 90 degree pipes, had the idea of a carbon fibre one for a bit more rasp, but cant find any suitable ones lol

Providing its fully sealed, there is no reason why not. You could go for a silicone bend, or similar but that stuff isnt at all cheap. :P

Try and pipe it to somewhere cold - directly on top isnt a very good place to mount it.
