GTI front brakes

Basicaly i picked up a complete set of front hubs, calipers and carriers from a 2001 GTI, aiming tho fit them to my 1.6 8v 6n, fitted them on saturday and when i drove it the driveshafts are too long, checked etka at work and compared outer joints from a 6n and 6n2 gti, there much longer on the GTI, but does anyone know the exact measurements of the shafts, and if the 6n and 6n2 1.4 16v use the same? and if anyones selling a GTI N/S driveshaft??? cheers in advance
