Aftermarket front door speakers 6n2 GTi

Do i really need these to fit aftermarket speakers?

Nope. if you get 6.5" speakers they will be a straight fit.

Alpine Type R conponents in the front, and coxials in the back.

One of the best mid-priced speakers you can buy IMO

the drivers side door speaker has popped on the polo (which we have discovered since fitting the radio) what size speakers will go straight in? reading about 6.5" ? is this right?

should i just buy VW again or would someone recommend something else - nothing £££ just good quality

Yep 6.5" is correct.

It totally depends on what you want from them, were you happy with the original speakers? If so, just buy another one second hand (come to think of it, I'm sure I've got one somewhere).

If you want better quality get some decent aftermarket ones,
