Also thought i would take my rear view mirror off to spray black, which turned out to be a huge mistake and lead to.....

Had to get windscreen replaced which cost £50, but didnt effect no claims bonus. Also dont have a sunstrip at moment :(

Oh how does it actaully come off then, becuase im guessing tugging at it wasnt the best option

Also since i am selling my alloys (check out for sale section, BBS RXII) i have got my mates lupo wheels on

Also look at the gap between caliper and wheel !!!!

Made me feel like i had a big brake conversion lol

Sh*t, i didnt think it actually would do that! thought it was just a myth.

Yeh yeh I know, i just ment have you looked at getting the ones you've already got refurbed in black?

Mind you, if you sold them for a decent enough price, and got the other ones for also a decent price, it would be a lot cheaper 8)

Noo! You've done exactly the same mistake I've done in taking the rear view mirror off.
What you have to do is just twist it anticlockwise, rather than intending to pull out the mirror. The base comes off as well.

Is it that a legit way of doing then?

Just twist the whole lot anti clockwise and it comes off. Or put windsurfing kit in your car and it will fall off! (happens to mine anyway!)
