Race for Life

Post by Bryony84 »

Hi Everyone

On June 1st I'm going to be running, walking and staggering 5k for the cancer research race for life. I have never lost anyone to cancer, but I know too many people who have. I also know that the chances are either I, or someone close to me will suffer from the disease one day.

I'm running this race to raise money to support the research that the charity does in the effort to one day find a cure.

Please sponser me however much you can, a donation of as little as £2 will really help if enough people can give their support. It will also make the run a lot more worthwhile - I'm not usually a running sort of person so I think its going to be a painful day!!

Thanks

Good for you Bryony. I did it a couple of years ago and I found that you can't pick up any sort of pace for the 1st 1/2 mile or so until the runners spread out a little anyway!

Put me down for £5 - let me know how you want it (got paypal if that helps)

Excellent cause peeps - i'm sure most of us wouldn't miss a couple of quid....

Thats good to know, at least I'll have 1/2 mile or so to get my bearings. I've never done one of these big runs before!

I've got an online donation site so that makes it really easy, you can just pay by card and it goes straight to cancer research.

Thanks!

No problem Byrony, you're running (or walking, or jogging) for a good cause, which I wholeheartedly support :)

Good luck!
