My Gti - Problems _

Ive look on all the forum cant really see anything to answer this question.

Got a Gti 08 reg. Got a few problems with it.

1. There is a rattle coming from the boot area driver side. Ive check the boot out doesnt seem to be anything lose. The rattle only occurs when the back drivers side wheel goes over a bump.

2. Also have a noise coming from both front windows, passenger and driver. It only occurs when both windows are up. Its not a rattle, more like something is rubbing or sliding if you know what i mean, this happens when you pull from stationary, go over bumps, around corners.

Both these two problems have started only the last 2 weeks or so, was wondering if anyone has encountered these problems and been able to sort them out?

Suggestions please, would like to try and sort rather then take it to VW but will if i cant sort it on my own

i have same sort of thing on mine and vw are a waste of time on they waste your petrol , ive just learnt to put up with em, and anyway im fitting coilovers so it will shake me car to death anyway lol, just thank god you didnt get a ford they do rattle

I posted summat on here about a month back about suspension probs.
i had a rattle which like yours, sounded like it was from the rear end and only happened when going over bumps or grates etc.

vw checked the car out and said it was actually the front making the rattle. they changed both front arb drop links which sorted the problem out, it only took them about an hour and the cars been right since.

Id take the car in for vw to check out, although i seem to have got a good dealer (Hayseldens at Barnsley) compared to a lot of you.
