I need your expert help! I have bought a sony CDX-GT610U to fit in my VW polo 2004 version. Now everything works fine until i take the keys out of the ignition. i turn the keys one notch to turn on the power, stereo can then be powered on ok. turn the key back stereo works fine still until i remove the car keys. I got an 2 into 1 adapter with it which i think is to plug the speakers and the power into the one socket on the back of the stereo.
I think this is to do with the wiring, but have no idea if i am safe to change it. I think i have to attach the red wire into the same connection as the yellow wire, but the red wire is covered by a plastic cover and i am not sure if i am ok to remove this. I have no idea if my car is a normal, switched or without acc connection.
apart from the stereo losing its memory when turning the car off it works well
Can you help or suggest anything i can check please?
