Sorry about all the questions recently
my polo 1.4 8v is booked in for a new clutch next week, the one i have at the moment creaks, will this be fixed when the new clutch is fixed or s this something to do with the pedal box?
Thanks again
James

Could be the cable or the pedalbox. I wouldnt say the clutch is causing it though - but it depends which side the creek is on.

Is that on the interior side - sounds like the pedal box weld is about to break if it is.

Mine had creaking before it was replaced. Has gone since now though, so you should be fine.
i have also since had a clicking like yours too though. I don't think it's the pedal box myself, but will go and get it checkd out soon.

What do u mean by the interior side? I can hear it creaking slightly and hear and feel the click slightly with the engine off, whats the best way to get this checked out, go to VW (i hear some have had it done under warranty?) or go to a vw specialist?
Thanks
James

Is it creaking from the foot well, or is the creak on the engine side>?
Some dealers will do it goodwill others wont give you a word in edgeways. Worth a few phonecalls!

Mines definitely exterior. i think it may be the clutch cable, although the mec said it looked fine when he changed the clutch
