The list can go on from:
Sports Cat
New Exhaust
Induction kit
Cold feed
Turbo
Manifolds 4-2-1 or be unique and get 4-2-2
Engine Bore
Bigger throttle body
Multiple throttle bodies
Lighten flywheel
New cams
Adjustable Cam wheels
Remap
Get inlets/outlets polished or enlarged
Crank shaft grinded/polished
Increase fuel pressure
Nitro
List goes on...
Hell shove a afterburner or a jet engine in the back like some guy did in america on his beetle and like they did in scrap heap challenge with home made afterburner, would like to see that...

ive done the same dub1, obviously with my 8v not the 16.
There is work to be done on the bottom end but i think the main work should start at the top.
If i were you i would go down the independant throttle body route with a set of motor bike carbs. I feel motorbike carbs are going to be giving massive scene points right now aswell so youll be popular and fast
lol.
Scrich cams are always a good idea aswell. In combination with the throttle bodies that would see you with a decent sized hardon but theres always more you can do.

my plans are to port and polish the 1600 head. Have it skimmed down a mm or so. Replace and rebuild anything that needs it. Thats for starters.
Then im going to add a decent set of motorbike carbs and any accessories required to run the buggers.
After that i want to add in a dirty fast road cam, aswell as the adjustable pulley bit (though im not entirely sure what that does to be honest, but hey they must put it there for a reason lol)
That will be about it for the top end. Thats all i can really do on my budget. though later i would very much like too see a supercharger implemented.
Im aiming very high, i want too see 150bhp atleast. though im not exactly the welathiest man in the world and theres alot of cosmetic issues to consider. But im on the starting road to get it all done and thats the main thing
