well since the remap on sunday i've been speeding far to much..
but what other inexpensive mods can i do to make the remap even better?
whats the best air intake and air filter etc..
not wanting to spend loads so only simple stuff i can do myself too.

You will never get that much power for such little cash again LOL remaps are the best power to money! Nothin much will now give you that noticeable gain for cheap money as i have found out ! Intercooler will help on hot days maybe and exhaust , not too up on diesels, then bigger turbo if it can be done on that ? PS nice meeting you !

PD160 intake and green cotton filter...
I have a green cotton filter in mine, but the stock intake...wouldn't recommend messing with the turbo...the 3 pot engines don't produce enough exhaust gas to efficiently spool up a bigger one (so I've heard). Additionally, the head isn't as strong as those on the 1.9 PDs further limiting what you can do. Someone managed to get circa 140 BHP out of one with FMIC, PD130 injectors, hybrid turbo, exhaust, and uprated cams, but blew the engine up...
Realistically, aim to stick under 130 BHP and you should get away...
Another option is trying to source the turbo of a 90PS A2 1.4 TDi...that should give you in the region of 120 BHP with only a remap.
When money allows, I want to go for PD130 injectors, PD160 intake and a less restrictive exhaust and aim for 125 BHP...although I might have gotten bored of the car and moved on by then.

PS: Your top speed improved? Mine is still stuck at 115ish when I last had a go on the airstrip....apparently the gearboxes on our cars run out of gearing at 115 MPH
