Urgent Help!

Post by Besian »

Hello !
Yesterday i was on a incline and drove the car with clutch pressed and a little accelerator pressed. And after some minutes it came from the engine compartment a very very bad odor like something burned, and i think that was the fault of the clutch system. But today it works right and also the gears can be changed well. But the odor in the engine compartment exist and you can feel a little also inside the car.
 please any advice or idea to remove the odors from the engine and eliminate this problem...?

I drive 9N3 sportline 1.9 TDI 100 hp
Thanks to all the preplies!

If everything still works ok & clutch still 'bites' in same place, you should be ok. The clutch plate probably got hot if you were 'riding' it going uphill.

Best idea to get rid of any smell is to leave the bonnet for a while.

Hope that helps

No, the clutch is in the right position and also the gear are changed well. Also today i spend some time riding around to test and everything was ok. So, i will open the bonnet and hoping to remove this odor.
Thanks Torq-al :D
