Hi to all - just found this forum and thought i'd see if anyone can help with this.
I am a fairly seasoned home mechanic but i've never worked on polo's before ! my daughter has just bought a 1995 "M" plated 1.05L and it's a great little car for a first drive, but i've noticed that the clutch has a very low biting point - is this normal ? and at 89000 miles would a clutch replacement be in order ? not sure what the typical life of a polo clutch is !
I have had a look through a Haynes manual and they say you can't replace the clutch without removing the whole engine/gearbox assembly from the car - does anyone now if it' possible to replace the clutch without removing the engine ?
thanks in advance for any assistance
