Polo GTI Engine, Gearbox, Ecu, Loom etc - 47K !!!!

Post by Renegadedubs.com. »

Righto!! Here for sale is a mint little Polo GTI 1.6 16v Engine ready for a conversion !!

Before it came out of the car we heard it running and then very carefully took it out ourselves

Everything is there

Engine
Gearbox (5 speed )
ECU
Immobiliser box with wand
Wiring Loom
Cable shifter
Pedel box with throttle position sensor
Downpipe with both Lambda probes
two engine mounts

THE ONLY THING MISSING IS THE TRANSPONDER CHIP for the immobiliser (I did have it but lost it - fukit !!!) but anyone that does key cutting / immobiliser programming can sort this out for not extortionate money, I found a guy up the road in brentwood, essex that could programme two chips for around £100 and said just to let him know when we have the enging in the car !!

I'm only selling this as i have other plans now 8-) 8-)

I am based in Chelmsford, Essex and collection is prefurred. However i could get my brother with his caddy pickup to deliver for £30 plus a £1 per mile - Within a reasonable distance.

We could courrier but not sure how much that would cost !! or how long it would take to arrange !! and id rather not let some delivery driver fcuk up a really good engine!!

Whoever buys this really will end up with a propa good Engine and box !!!! I'd like to keep it really but I've just taken delivery of a more MAN sized engine LOL. So this has gotta go !!

I'm not going to break this its gonna be sold as is....

Bearing in mind the gearbox is rare as...

PRICE - £825

Photos...........

Any questions then please dont hesitate to get in touch !!

Everyone knows polo boxes are made from chocolate - or spit and cardboard - whichever way you look at it

Hence they are hard to get hold of.... Especially with thoose miles !!

Was you interested in buying this ??

No sorry, I was just wondering why you thought the 'box was rare. They can still be bought new from VW, there are countless refurbing garages out there, and there are many small business that run on the likes of eBay that sell them refurbed, reinforced and ready to go! It's not finding them that's the issue, it's stopping them from exploding.

good luck with the sale.

I'd rather strap it to a go-kart than let it go for that

Seriously tho guys if you think its too dear then your entitled to your opinion. But thats all it is - keep it to yourself !!

I'm sticking to my guns on this, You probably can find cheaper examples but they may well be more of a gamble.

I heard this engine run before we took it out VERY CAREFULLY

All the wiring is there not just half a chopped around loom. Everything you need bar the transponder chip is there in great working order inc both lambda's, pedal box etc

Its the same old same old - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!!

Go and buy an engine for £400 if there are any going ??

Im open to talk sensible offers with anyone who actually is interested in this !!!

Oh and check out the club polo forum.

The last two Polo gti engines that have been sold. The deal has gone horribly wrong and the buyers have been mugged right off.

I feel myself muttering the same thing.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Also i have a whole load of people that can vouch for me as a reliable and fair seller.
