Car won't stay in a straight line.
Been having suspension issues for some time and still can't find the real issue. I took my car to Elite in Rainham last week because I knew the tracking was well out. They confirmed it, camber was out, toe-in was up the swanny etc. They fixed the problem, but I am still left with the car pulling. When you put the steering wheel in the straight ahead position, she drives as straight as a dye, but you can feel the tension in the wheel. As soon as you let go of the wheel, she pulls hard to the right. I think I have an issue with one of the strut top bearings which I will replace before the "Road to hell ring run", just wondering what else to look out for once I have the suspension undone.

Maybe get the track rods checked? This is a post from James in a different thread, sounds like you two have/had a similar problem. This is what he found out:
shantybeater wrote:the car has been pulling alot to one side which i thought was the tracking being out & the LSD trying to throw me round an invisible corner...but it turns out that in non-mechanical terms i had an extremely important bolt missing from one side of the track rods? (a big metal thing that does all the steering)....basically the wheel was trying to pull itself off & would have come off if i carried on driving it!! he was completely shocked...but a bolt later & i'm suddenly realising how fast this thing really is!!!

One thing I will say, is that taking the suspension to bits will end up negating some of the good work that was done during the four wheel re-alignment. Does the car "veer" both ON power and OFF power - I was thinking that you could also have a spot of TCA rear bushes trouble if it is a 9N Polo. Also you might want to check that the steering rack is at centre position when the steering wheel and front wheels are in the dead ahead position - ie does a wheel end up fouling at one end of the lock and not get so far at the other end of the lock? If it is a 6N Polo, then my daughter's Ibiza had that problem but it was sorted by getting a proper four wheel re-alignment - mostly this problem in her car was due to almost correct camber on one side and no or posative camber on the other side!! (had just been bought secondhand from Seat - fully inspected and serviced with three really "nice" shiny new crapest tyres - very quickly changed for four new Mitchelins. Two years later its still tracking okay. Service people had said "rubbish car is spot on - its the road camber" I insisted they check it - "it will cost you" - but so will knackered tyres - at least in the end they were honest enough to pass over the "before" and "after" readings! Ah, I've just seen that it is a 6N and its very lowered!
