VAG-COM

Post by luke_poloe »

Hi, I’m after a VAG-Com as I have an airbag problem but I am not too sure of my cars protocol. Does anyone know if this cable will be compatible with my car I drive a W reg 1L E

Thanks in advance

Airbags and VAG-COM are a big no no especially with these cables. You have to be so so careful when scanning them I cannot stress this enough - if your not, you can irreversibly damage components inside requiring a new £160 airbag controller

Cheers for the help ppl basically my airbag light is lit up on the dash I’ve tried all the fuses + disconnecting the battery but it’s still on, are there any particular error codes i should be aware off and how is damage caused, is it by clearing these codes ?

I’ll upload some pictures of the car soon

i take it the car has been in a shunt, basically sets off the module in stages, you will need to ether disconect the module, which you wont have no airbags or get a new module which are expensive, or just live with it like i do ;) :P lol
