VW Polo Electrical Fault

Post by fruitpastel »

I have a 2001 VW Polo which i've had for 3 years. The car has always had an intermittent problem with the electric windows - one of them stops working (although a clicking noise could be heard when the switch was pressed). After a time the window would begin working again for a while. It has happened to both windows since i've had the car. I saw another thread on this forum about this problem.

However, the problem happened again today but it is worse this time. There is no longer a clicking when the switch is pressed and the central locking mechanism has also died.

Has anybody any idea what the problem could be? Could it be a fuse thats blown? Any advice would be appreciated.
