Post by trav »

in my 6n! any idea how hard/expensive it is :) where do i find the kits and stuff?

and on top of that, would remote central locking be much harder to fit?

thanks!

Have a look at this kit on ebay, it's for a 3-door, but you can get 5-door kits too. Not expensive really & if you're going to the trouble of fitting central locking you may as well do it remote locking as well!
Wouldn't expect it to be too hard to fit, as long as you've got common sense & a bit of automotive know-how. I'd set aside a day to do it as all door cards have to come off & you don't want to rush it!

If you need to get a decent alarm then any alarm shop will be able to fit the central locking system along with the alarm.

would u be able to get a central locking kit from a vw dealer?

i got a cheap alarm but want a better one so might go to my local 'cat' store (an alarm an audio fitting place) and i could see about getting them to fit a good alarm and central locking.... wat about door poppers, could they do them to?

Lol dealers dont sell the kits. An ebay kit should suffice - maplins do a good one, paired with their alarm and its a good bit of kit :) all for under £50
