New insurance quote, what do people think?

Post by lolhoward »

Just been doing some quotes. Think the best I found was with Bell. £730.80 with £0 volantary excess (just the £250 comp), protected no claims with mods declared, interior/exterior mods and filter (induction kit) as thinking about one in near future. I'm 23, 4 years NCD and no claims/conv. DA postcode.

Or stick with churchill or go with Directline both aound £440 protected but with £150 volatary excess and cant add mods.

Oh yeah on the bell one, Filter adds £30/£40 quid, all the mods add around £60. So not much really to declare.

£730? Sounds expensive. I pay less than that on my GTi.

Anyways, I've always just gone through Confused.

im the same age as you and have 4 years no claims, had 1 fault accident and 1 sp30, i pay 330 with direct line , churchill should be the same as same company,

I think bell may have dropped themselves from the Association of british insurers so might be worth being wary

Cheapest was More Th>n. £399 protected NCD but couldn't adjust the excess, so they want £400.

Why don't you give them a ring and see if they can alter the excess over the phone? They usually can, it might later your premium by a few quid but it won't be much I shouldn't think.

That seems highly excessive. I'd expect to pay less than that when I'm your age with those NCBs on my GTi!.

Bell are normally really good with quotes, strange.

Always ring a company up that your interested in, esp. when considering modifications,

Think i've decided who im going with. Post Office!

£599, fully comp, protected no claims, mods declared (including Air filter for induction kit coming soon) and £100 excess.

The best i can get declaring mods.
