Service Time

Post by M@Turner »

Booked my car in at VW for its first service on saturday. Was checking my levels at the weekend and whilst wiping the dip stick noticed the oil was looking rather dirty! Then yesterday my service indicater popped up!

Anyways to the point, should i bother in removing my forge DV and replace with the standard one whilst its in for the service????

My car is re-mapped and just thought they'll notice the forge DV and this will lead them to think it might be re-mapped and be funny with me!!!

The cars lowered 35mm and has HIDs aswell so they'll know its not 100% standard but thought they'll overlook them mods more than a re-map.

Also, why do prices of service vary between dealerships. Gilders VW wanted £30 more for the same service as Hayseldens VW! :?

Cheers

Just change it for all the hassle its worth. Dont think they will say anythin to ya bout the springs and hids. your giving them lots of money for a service so they arent going to say anythin to you. My turbo got changed under warrenty with a few mods here and there and they never mentioned a thing. Dont u know anyone that has a garage and would do the service for you with VW parts to keep it in warrenty? A lot cheaper and if you know them they will do it properly! I stay and watch the guy when am gettin mine done lol!
