throttle body help

Post by quadra0_1 »

hi peeps, can anyone tell me why my tb gets so janked up? i give it a good clean and the polo runs great for a week or 2, then i start getting idleing problems again. when i have to clean the tb again its filthy :!: where is all this filth coming from? is it the oil breather hose, this hose looks very dirty and when squeezed takes a long time return to its hose shape almost like its made of a thick tar??? any help would be great thanks, regards mark,

Sounds like it. You could do with cleaning the breather hose out, although I cant remember how to!

Just remove the breather hose from the air intake box and attach a seperate breather filter to it (you can buy one from halfords). This way when the breather hose leaks oil (ever polo's breather hose leaks oil) the oil will not get into ur throttle body!!!
